The Charities we support

10% of all our income goes to support the following charities.

So they each receive about 750€ per year from the Chaplaincy

The Chaplaincy Council reviews the list of charities at its first meeting in the new year

Normally each Chaplaincy magazine features at least one of the charities

CARITAS The Catholic Church's official organization in Spain for charity and social relief
EMAUS A local charity (in Estepona) providing a food bank to those without sufficient funds to feed their families.
COLLECTIVE CALLING A local charity run by Paul and Gemma Carr, who have been members of our Chaplaincy,  who are working with people with disabilities in Tanzania and the homeless and refugees on the Costa del Sol. (see picture on left)
ASPANDEM meeting the needs of mentally challenged children.  Located in San Pedro, just south of the church where we worship.
LITTLE SISTERS OF THE POOR A global Catholic Charity which provides social care in many places.  We focus on their work in care for the elderly in Ronda in Spain, and have had an away-day with them in 2018.
HELPING A charity run partially by David and Kaye Bowerman, who attend our Chaplaincy, which has been building classrooms and providing education needs in Gambia
MERCY SHIPS Providing medical needs to places where often medical help is not available, normally in Africa
CUDECA A hospice movement, running in Fuengirola, caring for the terminally ill.
